The purpose of Ministry Advantage is to assist pastors in developing the skills necessary to lead their church to its full potential through pastor coaching. We take a personal interest in the success of every pastor and church we work with through church training processes. Our job is not done until we truly make a difference.

For over a decade Ministry Advantage has been providing pastor coaching and church training worldwide to help leaders turn their vision into reality. Our proven approach utilizes the combined synergy of customized coaching, pre-designed ministry systems, and two strategy workshops conducted annually by highly accomplished church leaders.


Russ Olmon - President Helping Pastors Move To The Next Level

Ministry Advantage provides a comprehensive approach which mentors individual church leaders through a process of learning to create and implement effective ministry strategies. Pastors are coached using three methods that work together to ensure effective mentoring and implementation of change within their church. These methods include personal coaching, resources, and strategy workshops. Comments from participating pastors indicate that the primary strength of this approach is the synergy of all three components to provide real time, hands on, in the trenches, step-by-step coaching which enables them to implement effective organizational leadership processes.

Russ Olmon, President
Russ is the founding President of Ministry Advantage, founded in 1998. Ministry Advantage is a coaching organization designed to help churches worldwide reach their full ministry potential. Through Ministry Advantage, Russ has served over 1000 churches throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia. In 2003, Russ launched Church Solutions, a consulting organization which provides Onsite Consulting, Low Cost Capital Campaigns, and Staff Training services to churches and Christian-based nonprofits.

From 1993 to 2003, he led his Dallas area church plant from 17 people in a park to well over 1,000 members. He led his church through numerous successful capital campaigns for land acquisitions, buildings, and two major relocations. He has provided Capital Campaign leadership for churches throughout the U.S. helping to raise over 35 million dollars in capital resources for land acquisition, construction, and operational funding.

In 2004, Russ transitioned from his role as Senior Pastor to launch a new multi-campus strategy as Pastor of Multi-site Ministry at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, Texas. Lake Pointe Church is led by Senior Pastor, Steve Stroope. Lake Pointe averages over 11,000 per weekend in attendance. Since 2003, Russ has helped lead the development and now oversees five campuses with a combined attendance of over 2,500. The development of these campuses includes over fifteen million dollars in land and property with over 30 staff. Russ also serves as the Campus Pastor to the largest satellite campus, Lake Pointe Town East.

Russ has a BS degree in Bible and Theology from Liberty University. He completed two years of postgraduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and extensive continuing education course work in the Graduate School of Business at Dallas Baptist University.

Russ and his wife Susie have been married since 1981. Stephen is their only child and is a student at Texas A&M. Russ, Susie, and Stephen live in Rockwall, Texas.
