Profile FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q. How do I purchase profiles or other products?
A. Profiles and support products can be purchased at this web site through a secure shopping cart using a valid credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express). Be sure to fill out the online order form completely. Billing information needs to match the credit card’s billing address. At the end of the checkout process, you will see a receipt displayed onscreen and receive a copy by email. Your credit card statement will show charges to Ministry Insights or Insights International.

A. Most profiles are completed at www.justrespond.com using a purchased passcode. So profiles are completed at a custom site so check your order fulfillment email for the proper URL.

Q. Can I take the profile assessment if I am not at my own computer?
A. Yes. Leading From Your Strengths® Profiles can be purchased and completed at anytime, from any Internet-connected computer in the world. Your results will be delivered immediately to your inbox.

Q. Can I purchase profiles as gifts for other people?
Yes. When you purchase profiles online, you will designate an email delivery address (or addresses) on the order form. You will receive a receipt for your purchase onscreen. Simultaneously, an email is delivered to the address(es) you designate, which includes a web site address and a personalized response link (single-use password). Recipients go to the website, enter their personalized response link, and complete the process.

Q. Are the profiles available in other languages in addition to English?
A. Currently, the Leading From Your Strengths Profile is the only profile product fully translated into Spanish, meaning both the online questionnaire and the profile results are available in Spanish. To choose this option, log onto the questionnaire website and select Spanish from the response language drop-down menu. Both your online questionnaire and profile results will be in Spanish; the purchasing agent for the profile will receive the profile results in English. If the purchasing agent is the respondent, he will receive two sets of results, one in English and one in Spanish.

The online questionnaire can be completed in more than 30 languages by simply selecting a different language option at the questionnaire website. However, profile results are provided only in English (or Spanish). View the available languages at the questionnaire website by clicking on the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.

Q. How long does it take to complete a profile and receive results?
A. Completing the online questionnaire takes about eight to ten minutes. Once you finish, the profile report is immediately viewable onscreen and available for printing. A copy of the report is also emailed to you right away. Make sure to set aside a few additional minutes to complete the purchase and checkout process and fill out your basic information prior to completing the questionnaire.

Q. How will I receive and view my profile?
Profiles are produced and delivered electronically in multiple-page reports constructed in the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document File format (.pdf). Once you finish the online questionnaire, a confirmation screen will appear asking you to verify the contact information you provided. A copy of the report is sent to the email address you provided. At the same time, your personalized profile is immediately viewable onscreen and available for printing.

(You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader software for free to view you’re your profile onscreen immediately after you complete the questionnaire and through the email that delivers a copy.

Q. What if I have problems receiving my profile?
A. Most report delivery difficulties are caused by an undeliverable e-mail address. Please note: the online questionnaire process must be completed in one sitting in order for your report to be generated. When you finish the questionnaire process, you will have a chance to verify your personal and delivery information. You will receive notification that your report was completed. Reports will be returned to Ministry Insights if an email address is entered improperly.

On the contact form, specify the type of profile you completed and approximately when you completed it. One of our representatives will get in touch with you and help you get your report as quickly as possible.

Q. Why do I occasionally see references to 4 letters (or animals) in the profiles?
A. In the past, Ministry Insights tools equated each of the profiles’ four behavioral styles with a “word picture” of an animal, based on the original work of award-winning author and psychologist Dr. John Trent. Over time as respondents grew more sophisticated in using tools, they found the animal images to be distracting. Ministry Insights has gradually reduced references to the animal word pictures as a means of explaining the four quadrants of behavior.

Q. How do I apply the profile?
A. The profiles will help you recognize and understand your God-given strengths and provide an objective platform and practical statements to use for improving communication with others. The most valuable method for applying the profile is in sharing and discussing the content with others. Use free downloads, books, and a DVD curriculum available through our Support page to guide you through applying your results, find additional support, and understand how to get the most out of your profile. We recommend that you review your profile report periodically, retake a profile every 12-18 months, and retake the profile when there are substantial changes in your environment.

Q. How can I know the profile and assessment are reliable?
A. The Leading From Your Strengths® process, profiles, and reports are based on a widely-accepted behavioral language model and are well-respected as comprehensive, accurate, and user-friendly when compared with other behavioral profiles available. Ministry Insights profile perceived accuracy by users is 92.1%.

Q. What if I disagree with my profile?
A. No man-made assessment can ever take into account all of the complexities of a human being or how they behave in all situations. As the psalmist wrote, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). Nevertheless, the Ministry Insights profiles are generated based upon responses to the online questionnaire and reflect the unique behavioral style associated with those responses. For example, when a dominant, assertive, confident person chooses accurate descriptors on the assessment, the report will highlight those characteristics in the text and graphs.

However, you may see some statements in your report that don’t apply directly to you. We recommend that you explore those fully by discussing them with someone close to you. After careful thought and discussion if you still disagree with those specific statements, strike them from your report and focus on the statements that you agree with.

In rare instances, an individual who is experiencing high levels of stress may not be able to respond to the assessment with a high degree of clarity. If you feel this could be a contributing factor in the responses you provided, we recommend that you retake the profile at a later time when the stress in your life has subsided.

Q. How secure is my profile information?
A. All profiles are completely confidential and are only delivered to the email address you provide and/or to the purchasing agent. Ministry Insights saves a copy of your report on a secure, dedicated server in case you misplace your report or need another copy delivered to your e-mail address. The Ministry Insights servers, web sites, shopping cart and online questionnaire processes are secured using the highest standards in Internet technology and computer security protocols.

Q. How often should I take a profile?
A. We recommend a profile be retaken every 12-18 months – or sooner if there is any significant change in your environment.

Q. How do I reprint my profile?
A. Go to our online questionnaire provider Just Respond. Insert your original personalized response link (single-use password) in the response link box. Click start. You will be prompted to enter the email address you used when completing the profile. When you do so, an option will appear to reprint your profile.

Q. Can I add a link to purchase the profile on my website?
A. Yes – take these easy steps.

  • On the Ministry Insights website, find the product you want to add to your site.
  • Right click on its “Add To Cart” image.
  • Click “Copy Link Location” or “Copy Shortcut,” copying the link to your clipboard.
  • Insert the link into your site.
